Before continuing just would like to ask a question. Have you ever gone through Panchtantra except some stories?
If answer is No! It’s never late to go through.
Now let us see how I got in mind to read at least once.
One good day a colleague of mine was talking about her daughter and the bedtime stories she tells to her daughter before she goes to sleep. So this is the time I remembered that am I missing something and suddenly Panchtantra pop up in my mind. And then after I search for some website and got one where I have read all the stories which is long forget after my childhood.
You will be wondering why a person at this age would ever want to read Panchtantra stories meant for the child, then as per me you are wrong, because basically the stories which you have studied in your text book is meant for the child, there are other stories as well, which may not to be easy to understand when you are in standard or grade 1 to 3. Ultimately Panchtantra is nothing but tell of the Political Science and the Human Conduct, which is must for any person, and in Hindu Mythology there is always significance Important for Political Science as well as the Human Conduct. Panchtantra collection which is ever green since BC 200 and still that fresh except some stories which may be missed, and provides the necessary knowledge you must have when you are developing yourself as a successful person. You have politics tactics if and only if you would like to read it. As well as some high moral story which is useful for your day to day personal actions and business operations it depends how you take it.
When I have started to read the book online I was wondering will I able to finish these stories at all, as it was meant for child but through my wonder I was really quick to finish all this stories faster then I finish some novel of Sidney Sheldon, Robert Ludlum or some other authors.
I just would like to say some basics of Panchtantra (Five Principles), May be if I am going to write about Panchtantra in future it will be details of moral for each of the five strategies.
Strategy 1 : The loss of the friends:
This part is moreover related with politics, The main character of the stories are two Jackals a lion and a bullock, These are the stories that figure in a dialogue between the Jackals and ends with the fight between bullock and a lion where bullock dies, who was minister as well as friend of lion, here the villain is one of the Jackal who wants to be man of importance in Lion cabinet.
Strategy 2 : Gain of the friends:
This part encourage to have a friends who is really wise and helps whenever needed, and never to lose such a nice friends with any possibilities the main characters here are a crow, a mouse, a tortoise and a deer. The thing I have admired about this Strategy is you must have some friends who have different skills from yours, which can be useful in future. And you should not be losing the friend.
If you want to take the overall morals for business it is all about managing business with the win-win formula and without compromising with your interest.
These stories gives importance to the team work as well, it is also about you should know your own skill so that you can apply whenever it is needed.
Strategy 3: Of CROWS and OWLS:
The of CROWS and OWLS: The Main characters are the a wise minister of CROWS, king and the king of OWLS this strategy basically known for a single line which says “You should not trust even your closest friend if he was enemy before”.
Strategy 4: The Loss of Gains
The main characters for this is a Monkey and a Crocodile where as monkey is a very good friend of Crocodile still Crocodile tries to kill because of his greedy wife and then she is died the crocodile is in big trouble, as a big crocodile comes into the water, He already lose a good friend like monkey still crocodile convince to advise the monkey then asks him to fight with crocodile. The story ends with following line.
There is no true happiness in what do you get without efforts, even old bullock survives on food that’s comes in his way
This the times strategy also says one should not betray friends and should be cautious all the times.
Strategy 5: Imprudence
If we go for simple meaning it is a lack of caution in practical affairs. This story most probably tells about one who has studied a lot but doesn’t have practical approach can never succeed in life, the best stories here is about a 4 Brahmin where a Brahmin has less knowledge and more common sense while other 3 have less common sense and more knowledge ultimately the one with more common sense survives and other dies,
It also have some other stories which is about one should not be impatient or should not rush when taking Judgment.
